Welcome to The Spoon Room – where you'll sleep (or spoon?) among silver memories from around the world. The hotel room is filled with countless teaspoons, each one unique and once cherished by someone. Some hailed from faraway lands, others from thrift stores around the corner, each one carrying their own story.

In The Spoon Room, Sjo has created a romantic and nostalgic world with a touch of humor. She scoured the country in search of the most beautiful teaspoons, which she brought together into a poetic collection at the Groene Afslag. With The Spoon Room, Sjo invites visitors to a moment of reflection, peace, intimacy, and wonder.

De Groene Afslag is a circular hub with a hotel, meeting rooms, restaurant, and school. They offer space for radical change and demonstrate a green world in a refreshing way. De Groene Afslag has 30 hotel rooms, each designed by a different artist. All rooms are designed to encourage circular thinking and create a unique sleeping experience 🛌.
